Langley Open 2020 – Cancelled

Due to issues surrounding COVID-19 and government guidelines, the 2020 tournament has been cancelled.

We will make an announcement about a tournament in 2021 next year.

Thank you for supporting this tournament and Chess in BC! We look forward to getting back to regular tournaments as soon as possible.

Langley Club Championship 2015

Congratulations to Hugh Long, the 2015 Club Champion. This year’s tournament was a 6-player round robin, in which Hugh scored 4.0/5.0 for sole first place.

This is not the first time Hugh has been Club Champion. He also held the title a number of times between 1996 and 2003.

The results will be posted once the tournament is CFC rated.

Upcoming Tournament: Peter Yee Memorial

The Langley Chess Club is pleased to announce a tournament to remember and acknowledge our friend and fellow Chess player, Peter Yee. Peter was a long time member of the Langley Chess Club and played tournaments there frequently for many years.

All profits from this tournament will be donated to the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation In Memory of Peter Yee for the Leukemia/BMT program.

Langley Club Championship 2014

2014 brings the Langley Chess Club an all new Champion, and our youngest ever! Congratulations to Neil Doknjas for an impressive victory against a solid lineup of players, many who have won the Championship in previous years.
